Location: RAF Alconbury, Cambridgeshire
Service: Utility Surveying
Interlocks Surveys was commissioned to deliver a utility mapping survey of a 450 acre Alconbury Airfield in Cambridgeshire.
Interlocks delivered a full PAS128 utility survey incorporating electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar. The scale of the survey required considerable coordination between teams and other stakeholders.
The key benefit of utilities survey is the avoidance of ‘utility strike’, ensuring that excavations do not hit buried services. Interlocks managed liaison with multiple stakeholders on site, providing phased delivery of plans to client and other contractors, facilitating the avoidance of utility strike, and the progression with other aspects of the project.
